Finally, Samsung has finally landed its long-awaited Samsung Flow update to support all Windows 10 PCs. While the Korean tech giant promised to release the app update by the end of April, but somehow they managed to reveal the update in June. The new update allows you to unlock your Windows 10 PC with your fingerprint. It will work on Samsung devices and tablets including the Windows 10 based Galaxy TabPro S. We should thank Microsoft for the Windows Hello feature. It's time to unlock Windows PC with Samsung Smartphone. Let's do it now!
Along with unlocking your Windows 10 PC with the fingerprint, it allows you to transfer your contacts and data from one device to another. It also lets you get complete access to text messages on your phone and sync your Samsung smartphone notification right on your computer. Additionally, it has one more valuable feature of auto-enable Wi-Fi on your Samsung phone, so you won't have to depend on Wi-Fi availability every time. Let's get started to use the Windows 10 PC with Samsung Smartphone using Samsung Flow app.
Note: Make sure that your Samsung smartphone is running Marshmallow or higher and your Samsung tablet running Nougat or higher version of OS. This process will use Bluetooth and Windows Hello.
Step #1. Download the latest version of Samsung Flow app on your Windows 10 PC and Samsung phone and install it on your both devices.
Step #2. Launch Samsung Flow app on your Windows 10 PC and Samsung phone.
Step #3. Select your phone and click on Pair button.
Step #4. Confirm passcode on your both devices and complete Bluetooth pairing.
Step #5. Next up, click on "Register Device" button
Step #6. Confirm passcode on your both device and complete register.
Step #7. Enter your PIN again.
Step #8. Scan your fingerprint.
You're done!
You can also set a simple unlock by heading to Samsung Flow → Settings → Turn On "Simple Unlock." This will help you to unlock your Windows PC easily without use of fingerprint.
From now, you will be able to simply unlock your Windows 10 PC with your Samsung smartphone using Samsung Flow app. You can have a great experience on your computer with Samsung connected phone. Well, it looks like Samsung is relatively doing the same things just like Apple's iMessage mirroring on a computer screen.
