Microsoft has been continuously releasing updates for its users running different versions of Windows 10 viz. 10240, 1511, and 1607; the patch rolled out on Tuesday. Meanwhile, it is providing its insiders exclusive stuff to keep them up to date.
The preview build of Windows 10,we just mentioned i.e. build 14393.67 can now be used by the company's Insiders on any platform like a PC or a mobile device. One thing that needs to be clarified here is that this version, being a cumulative one, hasn't got any new features. However, some minor bugs and issues are resolved and some improvements to add to the performance.
For instance, talking on the issues fixed, the company officially published the changelog in its Feedback Center that says that this update"addresses an issue that causes significantly reduced battery life on Windows Phone when using Bluetooth with 'Hey Cortana' feature enabled," and also attempts to resolve a bug that "prevents users from completing the out-of-box experience (OOBE) with a local account using Korean characters."
Like most of the times, also in this release, the new release does not provide new features to the user, however, the users are still recommended to install cumulative updates that enhance system performance and may also resolve many bugs that increase computer's stability.
As we know, Microsoft released Anniversary Update for computers this year on 2nd of August. So the customers of Microsoft, using Mobile devices are also expecting that the company would soon release the Anniversary Update for their handheld devices.
Rumors were spread that the company is expected to release the Anniversary Update on Tuesday, however, the head of the Windows Insider program Miss Dona Sarkar said that company would be taking a little extra time to release it. Once a date is decided for its release it will be announced publicly.
Meanwhile, the Windows team is striving hard to finalize builds of first Redstone 2 and hopefully they would be available to Windows insiders within a couple of weeks. On the other hand, the mobile device would be getting the new builds much later because their Anniversary Update is still awaited.
