New Whatsapp update notes on Android, Windows Phone

As we said, this is a small update and won't add any new feature to WhatsApp.

As most of you already know, the developers of WhatsApp have announced that by the end of 2016, their application will no longer support Windows Phone 7.1 and other "old" operating systems.

Whatsapp for Windows Phone should now be on 2.12.344, while Whatsapp for Android is now on 2.12.553. You install the app on your phone, verify it with your phone number, then get busy sending free texts and picture messages over Wi-Fi.

This new update for WhatsApp is rather useful, as it now allows the users to bring in many changes to the way they use WhatsApp.

What's up Windows Phone users? For example, another new feature that the WhatsApp application has received a few versions earlier is the ability to compress the size of a video file before you send it, because the file size limit is 16MB.

WhatsApp has been receiving a lot of updates lately, which is not really surprising given the fact that most of those updates do not add any new features to the app. Such updates work towards making the app more stable and faster for a better and smoother overall user experience.
