Microsoft Improved Its Edge Browser for Windows 10 Mobile

The phones that were approved by Microsoft to be updated to Windows 10 Mobile are: Lumia 1520; 930; 640; 640XL; 730; 735; 830; 532; 535; 540; 635 (1GB); 636 (1GB); 638 (1GB); 430; 435; BLU Win HD w510u; BLU Win HD LTE x150q and MCJ Madosma Q501.

Not only that the Windows 10 Mobile will come later, but some of the devices will no longer be on the list of phones eligible to get the software update.

Microsoft said that it will include these features to the Windows 10 Mobile OS once it will be released, but this never happened and it made many Windows 10 Mobile fans very disappointed.

However, things continue to be far from exciting for current owners of HTC One M8 which its maker has confirmed on Twitter that they have no plans for Windows 10 upgrade. Launched in the summer of previous year, Windows 10 solved big problems for millions of users.

It's not a secret that Windows sometimes asks for a restart to complete installation of updates right in the middle of your work, and Microsoft seems to be well aware that users don't seem to like this behavior.

Microsoft runs an Insider Program for Windows 10 and this is where it collects lots of feedback regarding the new OS. Only half of the devices passed the cut and were capable to receive the upgrade, disappointing the Windows community.

Looking at just the number of devices it's installed on for a second, Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system has been a resounding success.

Notifications for missed calls, messages, and emails on contact tiles will have no support during the Windows 10 release. Meanwhile, Microsoft confirms Skype UWP app is in the making.

This build will probably be the last released before Microsoft's big Build developer conference, taking place in San Francisco next week. Microsoft is planning to do this in stages, gathering feedback along the way to ensure the app is fully featured.

Today, Windows 10 has three places for users to add a picture, the lockscreen, the login screen and background in the Desktop.

"The integration enabled us to give people the fastest path to what they want to do with Skype", a blog post from the Skype Team says.

Microsoft has been rather tardy releasing Windows 10 Mobile, and now by scaling back support on older phones that were promised an update feels like a poke in the eye to its loyal fan base, many of whom now have what were once flagship device without the promise of more updates. "You can think about that as ultimately replacing the Win32 app and of course the Silverlight app on Windows Phone", said Barbie Stafford, Director of Product Marketing.
