Microsoft is not giving up on Windows Phone confirms Windows Insider head

2016 has been a great year for Microsoft as the sales of Surface and Xbox Devices have been good. However, Windows Phone market share fell again and now almost nobody is using Windows Phone. We can not say the operating system is dead. Windows Phone as a software is still alive, the hardware part may be dead as something somehow somewhere went seriously wrong.

Microsoft has recently confirmed indirectly that Windows Phone is not dead. And now, Windows Insider program head, Dona Sarkar has confirmed  that the company is not giving up on Windows Phone.

Microsoft was looking for Senior Program Manager who justifies and prioritize the feature set against the vision and strategy. Windows Phone still has a future if Microsoft is able to create a new category with the rumoured Surface Phone. Furthermore, a new rumor has recently revealed that Microsoft is planning to launch a new Windows Phone later this year.

As Microsoft's Build 2017 Event is ahead, we are expecting the company to mention Windows Phone in the keynotes. However, if Microsoft does not mention Windows Phone in the event, it would be safe to assume that the future of Windows Phone is going to be dark.
