Windows phones are about to lose Apps Corner

While there were several major fixes and features announced today after the rollout of build 15014 for Windows 10 such as the new ebook section in the Windows Store, something that almost slipped under the radar with a super-brief mention in the release notes was the planned cancelation of the Apps Corner feature in Windows 10 Mobile.

"Due to decreased usage, Apps Corner is no longer available in Windows 10 Mobile starting with Builds 15007 and above," the official Microsoft blog reads. It's brief but elaboration isn't really needed.

Apps Corner was a way to customize the app experience for different users on the same Windows phone device. It launched with Windows Phone 8.1 and the feature never really saw much usage. Many Windows phone owners probably aren't even aware that it exists.

Did you ever use Apps Corner and do you still use it now? Are you shocked that it's going to disappear? Let us know in the comments below.
