Way back in 2012 Nokia announced a number of essential apps exclusive to their Lumia platform. The ESPN Fantasy Football App was one of those apps, and was delivered to the Windows Store in August 2012.

Now it appears the app is on the way out, with users being sent an email saying:

Dear Windows Phone User,

Effective September 21, 2016, we are discontinuing support for the ESPN Fantasy Football app on Windows phones. You can still access your fantasy football teams and ESPN's fantasy football content on your Windows 10 device or on your computer by navigating to www.espn.com/fantasy/football/

We apologize for the inconvenience.

The app let users manage multiple teams, follow match ups in real time, add/drop/trade players, and make last-minute lineup changes.

It also featured:

  • Team Management: start/bench players, add, drop, and claim players off waivers, propose, accept, or reject trades with other team owners in your league
  • FantasyCast Live Scoring: receive real-time player and matchup scoring updates.
  • Fantasy News, Videos, and Tweets from ESPN fantasy analysts.
  • View and post messages to your league's message board.
  • It is not clear if the app will be delisted when support ends or not. While it lasts, the app can be seen in the store here.
