Finally, another principal offering of Facebook in now available on the Windows 10 platform, after being teased for long in leaked screenshots and videos. It's essentially a packaged version of Facebook's Messenger web app, with support for Windows 10's notifications.

To compare Facebook to another app that seems to suck up attention, Snapchat recently said that its worldwide daily active users spent between 25 and 30 minutes a day on the app. "With Live Tiles, you can easily find out what your friends and family are up to at a glance". The Facebook app also makes sharing photos simple by allowing easy access to your File Explorer or other favorite photo apps. Features include an in-app browser for reading and sharing articles from the News Feed, native notifications, and a few options that its predecessor did not offer: the new Reactions, stickers in comments, and a right-hand column that shows birthdays, event reminders, and trending topics.
